The Perennials: Ageless Improv (Oakland)
Through improvised scenes, games, and sketches, six quick-witted women in their mid-sixties to mid-seventies challenge stereotypes and assumptions about aging. The Perennials have performed at The San Francisco Marsh (2019), Femprovisor Fest (2019), and SF Improv Fest (2019). They were the featured entertainment at the Soroptimist International of El Cerrito annual fundraiser (January 2020) and regularly perform at senior centers and residences throughout the SF Bay Area.

Horrible People (SF/ Oakland)
Erin Daruszka served as the 2018 Artistic Director and Board Member of The San Francisco Improv Festival. Diana Brown is Co-producer of Southern Railroad Theatre Company and Leela’s Director of Community/Senior Producer. They each do wonderful work for the San Francisco arts scene! Together, Diana Brown and Erin Daruszka are Horrible People, an improv duo born of a mutual love of playing the villain! Come see them and encourage their powerful judgments in a mono-scene inspired by the audience in which one bad day turns two otherwise upstanding citizens into horrible people!

Featuring: Diana Brown & Erin Daruszka

Echo Lake: Midsommar (Austin, TX)
A stay at a drug-filled pagan commune in rural Sweden might not be everyone’s ideal vacation, but Echo Lake knows you could use a good trip. After the opening series of seemingly incongruous sights, sounds and movements, “Midsommar” is a comedy of manners. Inspired by the recent Ari Aster film, the cast creates a festival of organic thoughts, movements and noises that dive deep into the unknown of folk horror, enhancing the dread in organic improv, and playing with our perceptions through a number of devices. Many things are possible in “Midsommar,” but the surest is that there’s nothing else like it. You all will be invited to participate, and who knows, you could be their next Queen.

Featuring: Courtney Hopkins, Lisa Jackson, Cortnie Jones and Valerie Ward

They have performed at the Westside Comedy Festival, West Coast Musical Improv Festival, San Diego Improv Festival, Femprovisor Fest, and Ladystravaganza. *That sound you heard was Mozart rolling in his grave to 5/8 time.
